Why are we on this journey? We have a passion for riding. The feeling that comes from cruising down the open road is contagious. It is transforming. It is amazing that you can travel by car several times down a road and when you take that same road on a bike the perspective is very different. It sometimes causes uncontrolled outbursts of laughter and giggles.

Being caught up in this passion, we wanted to wear apparel and accessories that would support our sense of strength, softness, sexiness and sportiness. Our initial line of products was developed to support the passion and image we wanted to convey. It is also important that these products are made to fit ‘real women’.

The name of the company was conceived through sharing a story which captured the essence of ‘Lovin Her Ride’:

It was a sunny afternoon in August as a women rider was spotted coming down an expressway ramp on a sparkling purple trike wearing a pink helmet with a lime green mohawk proudly adhered to the top. She was also wearing a yellow fluorescent vest, leather work gloves, jeans and a long sleeve shirt. As she rolled up to the red light there was a man on a bike in the next lane. She looked at him with an empowering expression of ‘Lovin Her Ride’ manifested in her priceless smile.

So we started Lovin Her Ride.

In August 2009, we attended the AMA Women's Motorcycle conference as a vendor - our debut event! That's our booth in the picture. Our products were well received and women seemed to like the soft, yet strong logo. The engine is the 'heart'. The handlebars and seat form the "L" for our Lovin Her Ride trademarked logo.

As we continue on our journey we hope to cross paths and share biking experiences with you!

We made a quiet stop before a long ride to take in the beauty of the sunrise and prepare. There is a ritual to begin every ride. I sing 2 songs. The first is a paraphrased version of Be Near Me Lord Jesus: Be near us, Lord Jesus. I ask Thee to stay Close by us forever and love us, I pray. Bless all the dear children (on motorcycles) In Thy tender care And take us to heaven to live with Thee there But not today! Then I move into Born To Be Wild! Wahoo! I believe that my God wants us to be multifaceted and be deliriously happy. I believe he laughs and giggles when we do! When we ride, He is busy laughing. The picture doesn’t do it justice, but He certainly did a wonderful job that day!
